2401 Penitent Tangent is another moniter(or oracle) that shows up in Halo 2. Penitent Tangent is the guardian of Installation 05, much like 343 Guilty Spark is on the former Installation 04. He is shown coiled amongst the Gravemind in the cutscene involving Master Chief and The Arbiter. It is assumed that the Gravemind used him to gain control of the surrounding Halo.
He is similar to 343 Guilty Spark in every way except for his voice and eye. The eye is a deep red as opposed to Spark's blue.
