The Carbine is the Covenant counterpart to the UNSC Battle Rifle. It fires very rapidly, though at the cost of decreased accuracy. The Carbine's concentrated plasma rounds can kill unshielded opponents instantly. It is one of the most favored weapons in MLG, second only to the battle rifle. It should be noted that the Carbine is one of the two Covenant weapons that can be reloaded.
