Halo 2 begins on off note with a scene involving the trial of an Elite warrior. From that point on, that Elite becomes the Arbiter and then the story gets thrown back to the Chief. While going to a celebration for his success on the last Halo, the Covenant begin an attack on the space stations around the Earth, leaving bombs planted aboard each. The Chief rushes right back to his role as a hero and takes the fight back to them. When the level is cleared, the fight gets taken to a new station from that of the last game: Earth. Master Chief and UNSC forces repel the Covenant and take the fight back to space... but it leads to the discovery of another Halo. What will occur on this second Halo and what is the fate of Earth and its forces? Also, what of the Flood?

Interesting Notes
- In the Halo 2 Uprising against the Prophets, the Brutes, Jackals, and Drones ally themselves with the Prophets, while the Elites, Hunters, and Grunts are on the other side of the conflict. In Halo 3 we see that the sides are not as clear cut as it would seem in Halo 2.
