The Legendary Map Pack was released April 15, 2008 for 800 Microsoft Points. It includes remakes of Lockout from Halo 2 (now called Blackout), a remake of Sidewinder from Halo 1 (now called Avalanche), and a new map, Ghost Town, which is a map based in the Sierra 117 mission setting.
Additionally, the Legendary Map Pack brought us Filters, which when placed on a map via forge, caused different visual effects. These are mainly used for Machinima purposes.
It is not yet known when these maps will be free. However, the price is now 600 Microsoft Points.
