UNSC Pistol

The Pistol is a UNSC weapon that has found its way into all three of the games in the Halo trilogy. The first release gave the pistol a scope that increased its accuracy significantly. In the second installment, the pistol's overall stopping power and accuracy were decreased substantially. It was at this point that the pistol became known as the "Magnum". The third and final version of the magnum, tweaked for Halo 3, regained some of its accuracy. This compromise between the first two iterations resulted in an ideal back-up weapon in Halo 3.
