The Plasma Grenade
The Plasma Grenade, also known as the Sticky, is and has been a staple of the Halo series since the very first Halo, Halo: Combat Evolved. It is the projectile weapon of choice for the Covenant. There are certain pros and cons to this weapon over the frag grenade.
- The Plasma grenade is much more powerful than the Frag Grenade. It will kill an enemy with one explosion if the enemy is standing on, or in the direct vicinity, of the projectile when it detonates.
- It also has sticky properties that human technologies have yet to understand. If a plasma is thrown directly at an enemy or vehicle, it will stick to them, leaving the pitcher with a guaranteed kill. In cases of enemies like the Hunter, it will disorientate them, leaving them facing the wrong direction with their weak points exposed.
- Unlike the Frag Grenade, the plasma has a specific fuse. A 3 second fuse from the moment it leaves the pitcher's hand, to be precise. This can give the enemy valuable seconds to get out of the grenade's kill-radius.
