This mission starts off with an impressive cutscene showing a huge fleet of Covenant ships (and what looks to be a massive Covenant space station) jumping into the Halo orbit.
Even in Normal Mode, this campaign mission might be tricky due to the presence of at least 4-5 Honour Guard Elite, each of whom can kill the Master Chief with a well placed melee strike (even a Melee Strike without an Energy Sword is an instant kill). It is uncertain whether this is standard for Honour Guard but in this mission it is very apparent that nearly every melee strike by an Honour Guard results in death regardless of whether you have full shields.
This is further complicated by the fact that the Checkpoints in this mission are spaced in such a way that you must face at least 4 Honour Guard Elite before a Checkpoint save occurs.
The best technique to use is to keep a good distance between yourself and the Honour Guard - make sure that if the Honour Guard Get to within a certain distance you jump and/or strafe out of their way as they will suddenly slide forward with a melee strike. The main challenge comes when first entering the chamber through the huge double doors. Dual Wield Plasma cannons and take down the Honour Guard by firing and running backwards.
Killing The Prophet of Regret
The Prophet of Regret has a force field surrounding his hovering pedestal which is invulerable to all your ranged weapons. There's no point trying to snipe him or attack him from afar. He also wields a devastating Fuel Rod like weapon which shoots a golden beam.
The Prophet is extremely easy to kill in Normal mode. If you want a challenge you can try to do so using an Energy Sword and leaping up to him with the Sword. But for laughs get within Melee range and press and hold B. You will enjoy killing him with an old fashioned beating which is also quite comical to look at.
