Brute Spikers are dual-wiedable weapons introduced in Halo 3. They are similar to the SMG, though with some key differences; the Spikers have a slower firing rate, a higher damage rate, and a smaller clip size. A Brute Spiker can be deadly when combined with a Plasma Rifle or a Plasma Pistol. By using the the plasma weapon for depleting an enemy's shields, and the Spiker for finishing him or her off, you can kill any target in a matter of seconds.
